Geraldine High School

Geraldine High School is set in a small town with a friendly village atmosphere, situated just one and a half hours south of Christchurch on the main highway to Mt Cook and Queenstown, and 25 minutes from Timaru and the Pacific.

Students at our school achieve well academically and also enjoy the relaxed way of life, fresh air, open spaces and genuine Kiwi hospitality that Geraldine and its surrounding rural district has to offer. They can live at a pace to suit their own needs, and take part in activities such as archery, golf, mountain biking, skiing and tramping.

Fees & Accomodation

International students at Geraldine High School stay in homestays around the district organised by the school.

• Annual tuition fees: ODENZ fees $12,500 per year
• Homestay accommodation fees: NZ$220 per week (includes administration fee)
• Yr 12 Outdoor Education fees: NZ$175 per term
• Yr 13 Outdoor Education fees: NZ$200 per term
• Medical/travel insurance: NZ$500 per year (NZ$170 for 3 months)
• Boys' uniform (years 9 to 12) included in tuition fees
• Girls' uniform (Years 9 to 12) included in tuition fees
• Outdoor education fees do not include some optional trips. Students are expected to have their own protective clothing such as tramping boots.
• Year 13 students do not need to wear a uniform.
